How it works

There’s nothing to install in your home. Sentinel is built into QLumis and runs on a device you already have — a laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone with a camera. Open it, turn Sentinel on, and walk away.

  1. 1Open QLumis on any device with a camera and go to Sentinel.
  2. 2Run the quick readiness check — camera, microphone, and network.
  3. 3Press Activate, and position the device so it can see the room.
  4. 4Keep it plugged into power with the tab open, and leave.
  5. 5Get notified about unfamiliar people, and review a full timeline — or turn it off — any time, from anywhere.

Sentinel runs only while it’s open on that device and releases the camera and microphone the moment you leave the page — and it can’t run at the same time as a conversation, so it never gets in the way of talking with your companion.
